Our Work

Our Mission is to aid the battle against brain disease and mental health by raising funds in order to fund research, promoting mental health related events, and raising awareness and informing people on how to cope with mental illness or brain disease.

PHD and Postdoctoral Scholarship Awards

The Jonathan & Joshua Memorial Graduate Scholarships generously provides funding for a PhD Scholarship in the area of Mental Health research in the Schulich School of Medicine and Dentistry. This scholarship will be awarded annually to a full-time PhD graduate student who is specializing in the neuroscience of mental health disorders and is not already funded by an external award.

Value:

Set annually: maximum $25,000 / scholarship

Criteria:

Specialization in the neuroscience of mental health disorders.

Eligibility:

Full-time Doctoral student registered in a Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry graduate program may apply. Candidates must have at least one year remaining for the completion of their degree to be eligible.

Adjudication Procedure:

A committee will consist of up to three graduate program Chairs. The committee will be chaired by the Associate Dean, Research (Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies). This committee will select the recipient(s).

Graduate Scholarship

Awarded to a full-time graduate student in a Masters or PhD program at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry who is specializing in mental health research. This scholarship was established by Mr. Robert McKinnon (as well as many other family and friends) in memory of his sons Jonathan and Joshua.

 

Criteria:

Specialization of mental health research.

Graduate students at the Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry.
